Volunteers are essential to providing hospice services. Our volunteers go through a training period before they begin to meet with clients, learning to be good listeners, to reserve all judgement, to provide practical help, to develop good communication skills, and to provide good information on death, dying, grieving, and loss.
Our volunteers have a personal commitment to the compassionate care of fellow human beings in the journey towards dying, and strive for personal excellence and continuous learning.
Ongoing support and education are provided to the volunteers.
